La Cathedral Immersive
| La Cathedral Immersive is an XR application designed to increase awareness on heritage conservation and public engagement through interactive, real-time 3D overlays. Built using the Unity engine, this application blends digital preservation data with the physical world, offering a platform for both specialists and the general public. Unlike conventional QR-based systems, La Cathedral Immersive employs object-tracking , allowing users to explore detailed conservation insights directly over architectural elements. The application transforms intangible expert knowledge into tangible, spatially anchored visualizations, making complex restoration processes accessible and engaging for engineers, conservationists, and citizens alike. This project not only aids in more informed and collaborative restoration efforts but also fosters greater public awareness and appreciation of architectural heritage, ensuring that the stories and craftsmanship behind historic spaces are preserved for future generations. |
