Nijat Mahamaliyev is an architect and researcher specializing in advanced digital fabrication and computational design. With a Master of Advanced Studies in Architecture and Digital Fabrication from ETH Zurich and a Bachelor of Architecture from Istanbul Technical University, he combines a strong academic background with practical experience.
He has worked extensively at ETH Zurich, contributing as a researcher to projects involving robotic fabrication, immersive and interactive design, and digital twin technologies. He has authored and contributed to peer-reviewed publications in renowned journals and has been actively involved in cutting-edge research projects at ETH Zurich, such as immersive design applications and structural optimization of architectural components. Notable achievements include developing real-time audiovisual simulations, supporting architectural competitions, and creating XR applications. His experiences spans areas such as bio-cementation in architecture and machine learning for ornamentation in 3D concrete printing.
